President Wilson
By JOHN J. FRIEND, of BANGOR, MAINE
1      Come out Virginia's noble son
We know that you are true, The people of our grand old land
They have their hope in you; And with the power at our command
We'll cast our vote again To be chosen as our president,
To hold the leading rein.
2     The people are the povper you know
Their acts should stand for right, With Wilson as our leading star
We'll win in this great fight; There in that chair of state to rule,
Where peace and plenty reign And soldiers coming back once more
To homes and friends again.
3     A modest unassuming man,
A gentleman most true, He's always stood for our just laws
And proved his worth to you; And when the years have passed and gone
Sweet memories they'll recall, Of what he's done for our good land
To benefit us all.
